Sessions
Traditional studio portraits can be a stressful experience for dog and owner alike – unfamiliar surroundings, studio lights and no fun. By shooting outdoors I find dogs can relax and enjoy themselves which allows us to capture images which better reflect your dogs personality.
Before the photo session we will have an initial consultation to discuss your requirements and what type of images you would like:
Action Shots
Depending on your dog's level of training these might be agility routines, working trials or manwork.
Play
Your dog performing its favourite trick, playing with a toy or just having fun.
Posed Portraits
Either one dog on their own or if you have several dogs all of them together. If you're not camera shy perhaps you and the rest of the family together with your dog(s).
Sessions can be scheduled any day of the week and last from 1-2 hours. The standard session fee is £55. I will take as many pictures as necessary to meet your requirements.
I will also do a meet and greet with your dog – this is especially useful if your dog is nervous or excitable.
After the session previews of your images will be available for you to view on this web site. When you've decided on your favourites online ordering is available.
To get the best out of the sessions it is helpful if your dog can respond to basic commands.
Bring along food treats – more effective if you don’t feed them beforehand – and a favourite toy.
You may also want to groom your dog before the session.
Puppy Photo Sessions
Puppy sessions will be in the comfort of your own home either in the garden if the weather allows or indoors.
The aim of the puppy session is to capture the puppy's natural behaviour in a relaxed environment.
If you later want a full photo session when the dog is older you will receive a 10% discount.
